Compared to human filtered beliefs, reality how ever skewed it is, is still much more evidently incredible and odd. The truth is so much stranger than the fiction, that our young minds, built for understanding and making patterns, began making its own questionable and erroneous deductions about the world around. The suffering comes soon after the confusion caused by a mismatch between realism and fabrications. We’re sick in almost every sense of the word because we long for a real life, real goals that extend this planet and not just making past next week, teaching our kids one thing while having them live through something completely different. Here on Earth we started as a promising race of species and slowly let the lies become what the planet is about. If Bizarro was a kind of opposite land, this would be the liar’s world. Where we all lie to ourselves and one another even if it means we’re sealing an unfavorable fate for ourselves in the process.

We lie to ourselves about who we are and stick to these definitive personas of ourselves that try to stay the same with the help of the ego. We lie to ourselves about our environmental problems and change little about it. We lie to ourselves about how useless the idea of countries and being separated by imaginary borders is. We create these differing beliefs to later say “This is what makes you different from me, you’re not my brother or sister because of the belief you claim” — throwing away all of our evident biological similarities and what can be achieved together. We lie to ourselves about how we are also animals like those we hunt and place in danger by the masses. We lie to ourselves about needing “Entertainment” in the traditional form we’ve always known, that this is the way our brain should unwind from all the thinking. I think we’re all liars in a sense. We know the way we live is weird, it’s almost barbaric trying to come off as civilized, yet we put on this show, just like in entertainment, to entertain the crowd around us. But when will we stop the show and start living to our fullest extent as an advanced species? We’re taught to be complacent towards change, as opposed to adapt to it. What a sure shot way to kill a promising species.

I also agree with many of you who think the feminism movement ought to be more inclusive if it ever wants to succeed at promoting equality. If you seriously identify yourself as a woman, a responsible male, or a critical thinking citizen of the world in general, you should be a part of it, no if ands or buts. The problems this movement needs to be addressing is its lack of inclusiveness towards the more diverse spectrum of women, towards the people who side with the movement. I see why being able to distinguish a real feminist from a poser is important but is it really paramount to the success of feminism if we get caught up in labels and who’s who? as opposed to focusing that time on actions and real discussions that deal with the problem. Because then it just becomes another back and forth argument that leads to repetition and no real results, just more arguments. I understand my place as a privileged male and I understand that I am not a woman therefore I can not and will not be able to speak for them and their problems aside from speculating what I think based on observations and statistics and personal accounts, but I can positively say that I will argue, fight, discuss, and take action as though I were one and will continue to encourage friends to join the cause no matter what gender or sexual preference you claim.

Pareidolia When we see anything with an intricate design, our brain is usually automatically set to recognize familiar patterns, most likely faces or significant figures even when there are none. There is a specific part of the brain called the fusiform gyrus that is in charge of intentionally perceiving faces (among other cool shit like color and word recognition) even where there are none. That’s what causes you to see figures closely resembling us on walls, floors, etc. and a large portion of religious belief turned to divinity to explain for it when in reality it was the flawed human brain trolling us into believing this alternate, less realistic connection to nature.

Here’s what I actually think: You don’t need a president.

With the evolution of technology and communications like the world wide web, we’ve been acquiring data at a faster pace, what we need is a balance of skepticism to filter what data is necessary and what is unnecessary. If we’re going to be a society that is so focused on its little communication gadgets like the smartphone, we need to know when we are being fed quality brain food and when we are being fed shit. With this comes awareness, with awareness comes responsibility, and with responsibility comes action. Action can be carried through by all of you. You are all so smart, and I mean that, you can very well keep an extremely small government that merely facilitates what the citizens truly want and need. If the citizens are critical thinkers, who knows what their wants and need would turn into.

Governments were for societies that couldn’t take care of themselves. But I have extremely high hopes for my generation and those on the way, why? I mean look at us, we are more strict against stupidity and are starting to ask for more intelligence out of our governing officials. Even though things seem chaotic at the moment, I think we’re slowly paving the way into the more self sufficient, critical thinking, citizen of the Earth.. no, the Universe.

Leaders need borders, people don’t. Leaders need people, people don’t. It’s much easier to control us and everything we do when we’re all quarantined and made believe to be different all because we were born on another location of the same planet. I don’t hate a lot of things in life, because hate is a strong word for a strong feeling. And I have a strong feeling against the concept of nations. Unity should not come from just one section among one separated group of people, that can easily be related to the same idiotic segregation that occurred between blacks and whites except more subtle.

Could you imagine how powerful humanity would be against injustices, environmental problems, space exploration, and more if we had no borders, kings, presidents, rulers, etc.

People are only made to think it’s all necessary by those who strategically insist that we need them. That we can’t live without their guidance. But we can, and we would most likely achieve wonders. Because that’s what we do as a species. We were equipped with enough physical and mental capacity to improve our own lives and perhaps take a trek to the stars and other planets and continue to learn and prosper and leave our environments intact. And yet here we are.

My niece is copying every little thing I’m doing, including browsing the web shirtless (she saw me with no shirt and started doing the same). Except she has a fake pink laptop that makes animal sounds and mine just sounds like a jet engine starting up. I think it’s little things like that, that make a girl comfortable with who she is at a young age, everyone is always trying to cover them up and making them uncomfortable about their looks as if it isn’t natural. Instead of working on other kids (particularly curious boys) and teaching them self control.

That’s why I love to stargaze, makes me think about bigger things, how to be an awesome citizen of the Multiverse, not just be an earthling or some jaded nationalist or racist for that matter. It’s thinking way too small. Give yourself a break, you’re probably better than that. We can all be perceiving ourselves to be a part of all this but we don’t, we separate our minds from reality as though the mind is a self sufficient entity when it isn’t.

Compared to the lives of stars, you could say we’re a fleeting moment. To the stars, the passage of time and events would come and go like the flow of a river. But it’s amazing how much and how fast we can destroy the planet that nurtures us. Our time here isn’t infinite yet we always behave as though it is. As if future generations wont hear and live through our fuck-ups.

I hate how my opinions are sometimes agreed on when it’s convenient. Trust me when I post little articles and facts I identify as important, but when I pull out the inequality concerns I suddenly become irrational and illogical. This is troublesome.

The concept of friendzones is stupid and restricting, a girl has a right to say no and not be seen as a villainous witch for it. Goes for either gender but I hate seeing a dude complain about getting put in the ‘friendzone’ like.. please cry the fuck more over things that shouldn’t matter so much to you.

If there is more evidence that shows there is no purpose to this universe and our being, why do people conclude that this means their life means nothing? That’s it’s all meaningless? Why can’t it be that you are free to choose whatever purpose you feel like choosing. Does that not satisfy you? That you don’t just have one purpose.. but an infinite amount where your creativity, curiosity, imagination and drive is the only limit.“No gods nor masters, just us.”. What then would happen to humanity when they collectively realize that they are not bound by anything, not even destiny exists in our reality. You create your destinies along the way (sorta off topic but; this is where my immense dislike for astrology comes from).

Isn’t it grand, beautiful, perplexing, strange and so much more that our mere existence is a chance? That we could’ve easily not been here yet we are here. What are we to do about it as a whole? Shrivel up and die by our beliefs as we reject reality? Or say hello to the rest of the Universe and what we are all a part of, the process that we aren’t just watchmen for but have joined in the minute we are born? The minute our ancestral seeds began growing here on Earth. I am so tired of us being idle, indulging in senseless wars and pointless bickering and countless political debates for centuries on end until we have killed ourselves and the rest of the species along with us. We’ve sent men to the moon for god’s sake. Why not use the fact that we can literally think our way out of this planet with wit and compassion and ‘move out’ of our parent’s womb in order to let the rest of these living creatures survive and live without us putting a damper in their progress? We certainly have that ability. Yet we stay. Nurtured like babies, enjoying this deadly comfort we’re blind to. I don’t know about you, but I want out. I want to explore, and not just the seven seas and the continents, but whatever else is out there outside this womb.

What I got from those readings of Sagan and the Dalai Lama is that knowledge should not be dished alone, whether it is inner knowledge or outer knowledge. Humans enjoy putting their emotions to work, we love to feel, but we are also curious and love to learn.. it’s in our nature. If we feel nothing from pure information we would most likely deny it or place little importance to it. But there have been many who have found a way to balance the two. People like Einstein who saw god as nature and not attribute human qualities to it would get these feelings, that is why they loved science so much. I would hope that we come to similar conclusions as a society because I feel that when we reach that point in time, when we can say we are religious and scientific but feel no discomfort in either one.. not even the sky would be the limit for us. A religion where our drive to move forward would be the reality and beauty we see in nature, our understanding and the way we see nature coming from science. That’s the utopia I constantly wish for in my mind.

Sometimes I like to toy with this comic book idea and imagine that this is the Bizarro Earth, where sensibility, compassion, reason, logic and true exploration of nature and self are the negatives and the positives are the evils that consume this planet. And that somewhere out there is another Earth-like planet, waiting for those who would treat it and its living constituents with respect and appreciation.

Another chance for those who would love nothing more than to live harmoniously and inciting curiosity while leaving the planet they temporarily inhabited the same way it was when they got there. Learning as they go, interstellar nomads, living from the thrill of what the greatest educator, nature, has to teach them and never disrespecting it along the way. Then I snap out of it and remember this is the only planet we’ve got for now and we’re stuck with those that could care less about our fate as a whole judging by how they treat themselves, each other and the planet. I come back down to Earth and remember it’s either Bizarro Earth, where wrong is right and right is wrong or nothing. Manned-interstellar space travel, where art thou? :[

For blogs that post weed porn, why not also educate your masses on how they can help change prohibition, write to their officials, inform of the expansive benefits of a country with relaxed drug policies that aren’t too controlling and intrusive? Would really help the cause a lot more if people knew why they’d want it legalized as opposed to merely claiming you want it legalized.

We’re given far too many occurrences that lead to separation, so it’s always nice to take advantage of those few days where almost everyone is in a good mood and promote togetherness that could last outside of those days. That’s why I still like to celebrate the holidays, just on good will. Not as an excuse to be good, but more of a trojan horse of infecting others with a little kindness :3 So have a good one with those that matter most to you. Whether it’s family, or friends, or colleagues, doesn’t matter as long as the compassion and love is genuine.
