This is an art trade I did with Ken. It’s him as the next Doctor. He’s got the gold glowing going on, from being freshly regenerated. Ken and I talked about some different items that would be part of his signature look, but the fluffy hat I fell in love with. I think it’s very Doctory. Plus saying “ushankas are cool” is fun to say.

I’m often asked “Why do you run this blog?” and I can’t put it any simpler than this:
This blog is open because I want to make people happy indulging themselves with information I feel is valuable for all walks of human life, because science to me is the closest thing to the truth that we have, because I want to teach people and myself how to care, I’d like people to tell the difference between being a reasonable cynic, and a useless one (useless in the sense that you point out a truth or something obvious but it has no real productivity behind it). I enjoy seeing people just as astounded by the real truth as our descendants were of their gods. But most of all, I have this because my vocals are too low and uneventful to take my enthusiasm to the public, so I write it and express it here as my brain sees fit. I guess you can call this my cocoon stages of whatever it is I’ll become.
I saw this cloud iridescence today & thought of ya, Ken.
It was so pronounced when I first spotted it, but I was driving & couldn’t take a good shot. This was the best I could do after I pulled over.

That’s so cool wow! you’re lucky I’ve been dying to see some legit iridescent clouds for a while now, they’re so pretty. And I’m glad my atmosphere tag is actually educating people on the terms to use for the things they see in their environment :D Keep a look out for more atmospheric occurrences I’d love to see more of people’s findings from their own lives.
