Gonna start putting my right sleeve’s design together, already have a few elements I wanna incorporate through it.

Like a ripping effect on my skin with the inside being space-time/ the cosmos as the sleeve’s main background. I’ll have a moon close to the sun tat and a saturn-like system with multiple moons (this will all take up the middle part of the sleeve). So by the time it gets to my shoulder I can place a galaxy on there with a space probe being gravitationally pulled towards it.

kujo got the outliine down for the sun, he’s gonna shade it in tomorrow. I did the sketch he tattooed the outline and gonna do the shade tomm. Placed it right over the “we are made of star stuff” tat just now. The owner of the shop might do my space sleeve if I sketch him something worthwhile (which I plan to do). My left sleeve is going to be all ocean scenes/ animals and science tats (really colorful). While my right sleeve will be all astro-related.

guess who just finished tatting the fibonacci sequence on himself (the lines and swirls came out straight but it might look a bit bent in the pic from my veins)

Sooo, it’s about time I buy a legit tat machine. Most of the people teaching me along the way (owner of the shop and his artists mostly) have been telling me to avoid wasting money on tattoo kits so that’s what I’ll do. Instead I’m going for a simple set-up with a Mickey Sharpz machine. Interested in this hybrid liner/shader (I don’t wanna shell out extra cash for a liner and a shader) shown above. That way I can get right into lining and shading practice at home or wherever and speed my learning curve a little bit. The other good thing about this is that these machines are top notch quality, so it serves as a learning tool but I can also use it in the distant future for work until I decide to upgrade.

From the product directory: Brass Hybrid — “Designed to be nicely balanced and powerful. Ideal for shading, color, or lining - a great all around machine. Frame is cast and polished brass, making this a smooth running machine.”
